I would sure hope so. LOL! For some reason I'm just picturing you eating a raw potato. Now that wouldn't be good! I think with alcoholism comes strange visuals when people talk about stuff! Either that or it just my insanity!

Have a good one Robert.

On the other hand, I heard taters called spuds when I was growing up in western Nebraska.  All depends on where in the USA you were raised.  Kinda like whether you call a Coca-cola a "soda", a "pop", or a "soda pop".  Then again, in southeastern US, I am told, it is all called a "Coke" regardless if it is 7-up, Pepsi, Mountain Dew, Orange Crush, or any other soft drink.

I also learned from some of my Brit friends at college many years ago that they had tastes for a lot more than just bangers and mash.

And that it was ok to for a lady to request of a gentleman, "please knock me up at 8 am."  But that a bloke could get a "thick ear" if he asked a young lady "could you give me a ride?"

Well, I'd best bog-off before I get into trouble with all this tommy rot.

Tally-ho!

Yeah Dan. I remember being a kid in Jersey pop was called soda. I moved to Chicago and all of a sudden it's a pop. No it isn't, it's a soda! Not sure what to call it these days.

My dad always used the word "spud" when referring to a potato.  But he was the only one around here that did, as far as I knew.

Speaking of potatoes, I had a funny dumb blonde moment tonight.  At the sober club, a lady was eating fried chicken and fries, which had tater skins on them.  I said, "I love fries that have a little potato on them!"  Uh....duh...  I had to have a good laugh at myself over that one!

Here, I think we just say, "I want something to drink", then...

"I'll have a coke, sprite, diet coke,...etc..."

SPECIFIC about what beverage it is that we would like.

What is so FRIGGIN HARD about asking specifically for what you want!!!???
