Which one sounds better?

That's what it's going to take to clear up my financial responsibility to work towards getting my license back! My last DUI was almost ten years ago! Haven't had a license since 92.

I'll find out Wednesday which of those figures is correct. Hopefully the smaller one.

It feels good to have found out these details about my license. I now have a clear-cut picture on what I need to do. Here in Illinois you have to clear up all the financial responsibilites and then go in front of a board of secretary of state members for a formal hearing to get some kind of driving priveledges reinstated. Have to blow through a breathalizer just to start your car and stay on the road. My license is probably still gonna be revoked but my goal is to get a permit to go to meetings and work sometime next year.

Another reason why I want to stay sober!

The only thing I dread is having people at the meetings sign a sheet saying I've been to an a.a. meeting. I have definite pride issues with that! Don't bother asking! When I was on probation a few years ago my p.o. asked me to get these sheets signed at meetings and I told her, flat out, no! Don't ask again! Pride issues. My recovery is my responsibility!

Yeah, I'm a lil screwy, but I'm getting better!

jeee Justin...I looked at the title of your post...and thought that maybe, you were giving some away...that all I had to do, was answer a skill testing question..:) Dern it!!

I was on parole for a couple of years...and did the signing the paper thing at every meeting...kind of a humbling thing..but, it went ok...

There are a lot up here that are assigned to meetings by the courts..so the paper thing is very common..

Know a few that have the "breathing into thing in the car",,also...

They stay off the free ways, as much as possible..

Can you imagine reaching for the blower tube...in 4 lanes of traffic..doing 100 miles an hour...and hoping the car doesnt quit?  Whooo  EEEE!

Hope it all works out for yu...keep lookin up..eh..

Other than that...other things that come to mind are..."Rent a bike..skateboards..and tow ropes" :)

Have a good one...

Okay Phil. Got a skill question for ya. Are you willing to post your credit card numbers on here so I can clear up this financial stuff real quick?

Not sure if that is skill or not!

Thanks for the laugh!

ANYTHING is possible, my friend.

I had 5 DUI's before the age of 25!!!!! And several Driving inder Suspensions to boot.... you should have seen my bills!!! I do drive today... have for years now, by the grace of God.... was even informed by my insurance agent last week that I have NO points at all on my record, for the evry first time since age 17 (I am 33 now..) So don't lose hope... I was the DUI Queen.

Pray about it, every day, and keep doing what you're doing. Make whatever payments you can, starting ASAP. God's got even THIS kind of stuff.. I promise you.

And about the papers, NOW is not the time, Justin, to start being prideful about such things. You are active enough at your groups that the people there will know you have not 'relapsed'... they will probably not even really think twice about it... may scratch their heads and look inquisitively at you for a second... but you will tell them what is going on, and not be ashamed of it. And one other thing.... BEATS WALKING!!!!!!!

I have faith in you. I read all your posts, and I know there is nothing you and God cannot overcome, my friend!!
