The bad thing about computer problems when you know how to fix 'em is sometimes you just don't feel like it! If my computer crashes I will just boot up one of the two others! My brother works with computers for a living so they're laying all around the basement. I will have access to the internet damnit! LOLOLOL!

Yeah I'm an addict and alcoholic. I am glad in a way that I found drugs for one reason and one reason only. Drugs brought me to my knees. I think I'd still be drinking if I'd never discovered them. Just the way I see it! It's beddy bye time. Good night!

Hi You Two,

And yes, I only say I am an Alcoholic in meetings. But in my head I breath a deep breath into CLEAN AND SOBER. YEAH, YEAH, YEAH! Justin, if we are Deperate enough, we learn how to get out of it, with the Help of our Higher Power, just like a caged animal wants to be FFFFRRRREEEEEEE!

Was thinking of the saying in this Program, A Drug is a Drug, is a Drug, is a Drug, is a Drug...................

We could make a list of all the drugs and alcohols that are addictive, but it would take about 3 hours to put it in here, and then I would probably be leaving some out.
It's not the Drugs and Alcohol that do it, it is the Addict, and the Addict, is an Addict is an Addict is an Addict...........................

for me, I love the thinking of "Keeping my Velco Vest OFF", put it on, and I will get Hooked on something, no matter how subtle, something would be stuck to that friggen Vest. MIP is a little stuck to it, now, but I keep rationalizing that this is a good Hook???.(it is about NOT HOOKING)???? But it does get confusing???????

Hugs to both of you,

Baloney Brains

Made me laugh!!! A Hook, is a Hook, is a Hook. haha.

And how could I get something stuck to my Velco vest, If I don't have it on, anyway???

Think, Think, Think, maybe I should me using that old AA saying.

Feeling kinda silly, and VERY confused, Think....DUH.........Think.....DUH.....Think!!!!!

Baloney Brains, the name is no Accident, haha

O.K., I am going to UNHOOK, see you all tomorrow, and if I go through withdrawal,
I'll just have a lot of cold water, that's what you do, when detoxing, Right??????

Wish me Lots of Luck, Unhooked!! Taking vest off, now, it is off, and sitting on floor next to me. I will not pick it back up, I will not pick it back up, I will not pick it back up..........................powerless, yep, Powerlessness. "I am powerless over MIP - that my life if unmanagable...................

Experimenting.....................

I'm jealous Bob. Thought I had the fastest connection on this board. Think I'm around 8 mbps with cable internet. Had to ask my brother what the hell fiber optic broadband was! He said yup, it's faster. Guess I'm wondering now who pays the most for their internet connection on here? Hahahahaha! Have a good one!

Well I've got the combo pack. I've got the hi speed internet, my telephone and my cable TV with 130 channels, no premium channels like HBO or Showtime, 3 cable boxex with remotes one of which is hooked up to the TV card on my gaming computer. I pay about $130 depending on how many toll calls I make. Works out to be $50 for cable, $50 for the internet and $30 for the phone. My internet is my connection with the world so it's worth it to me.

That's right around what we're paying, except our phone is through the phone co.

I've been considering upgrading my computer, the only thing is that I don't play games, so there really is no point to it. I will probably wait until something fries before I do that! I'm an alcoholic though, so sometimes I want the best of the best for no reason at all!

Have a good weekend.

I built my 2 present computers. The gaming computer has the fancy video card and fast processor the other uses the onboard graphics. Both have large case with a plexi door on the side. When it's time to upgrade you change what you need to and keep the rest. The hardest part about building a computer is installin the operating system, it's like giving birth. My first build the proper HD driver were hidden on the MB disk and you had to put them on a floppy and install them when you got a prompt from Window. Lucky I had a working computer so I could go to the pcpitstop forum and ask for help. But once it boots up it like , it's alive, my baby's alive.

I'm running windows xp pro. I can't say I'm working a perfect program because of certain aspects dealing with the operating system. I guess until they make me buy a copy of xp I will be happy with mine as long as it continues to get updates. The only thing special about my computer is the case. Spent a hundred bucks on it about three years ago. It has the see through side and it has some cool blue lights that run up the front on both side that look like a fish tank sort of. Little crystal bubbles! The only thing I've added is a nice sound card so I could get my 5 speaker pc set to work! All my music is on my computer, and it rocks! Shakes the walls a lil bit too! I have added other things too, like a dvd burner and a nice hard drive. That's about it though. I am a definite computer enthusiast. And one other thing, I have the best dvd burning software available! Only to make copies of home movies though, yeah right!

I guess when it comes to computers I'm not working a honest program. Maybe some day it will effect my conscience.

Hi again,

Well i did make some headway here, had a pretty productive day, first thing I did was agree with myself, that "No thinking Allowed" Just keeping doing things in the very hot day, and more than anything, Don't pay attention to the heat. good news is that is really worked.

I am so hooked in the morning with my one big cup of coffee, don't know if I will ever get that addiction "handled" , haha. The only possibility would be going to a 7:00 meeting, but that would require a lot of momentum, with velosity. Think I'll stay with MIP. For so so many years of getting up at 5:30 to get an early start to the bus I would catch to go over to UC in San Francisco, where I worked, got there, and love working their so much, but I Never Loved getting up at 5:30.

So, I'm sticking to 5:30, making coffee and Relaxing. Enjoy every little nano- minute of it.

Toni

Na-na-na-na-boo-boo!  I have the best deal of all:  high speed internet, digital phone, all cable channels and premiums (HBO, Cinemax, etc), plus half price on all pay-per-view for the incredibly low price of $10 a month.  Oh, and it's soon to be completely free.

I love being married to a cable guy.  Why leave the house?  lol!
