Just wanted to introduce myself, I'm Steve and I'm an alcoholic.


 I came across this board after comming home from a meeting the other night. I post on a few other message boards that have nothing to do with AA or recovery but have plenty of what I don't want in my life anymore, so basically I was looking for something positive on the .net. Anyway I've been reading many posts here in the last few days and really like what I've seen, so I decided to check in. I have some questions if thats ok, so I'll be lurking for a while. If someone could please tell me the do's and dont's here I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks

Hi There Steve,

Wecome to this Board. We are a Dedicated Recovery Site for Alcoholics, all Alcoholics.

Don't think we have any real Do's and Don't here, just Post and share whatever you want. Hope you enjoy the Site, I found it in December of last year, and it has been such a great boost to my own Recovery, and like to spend, as it turns out, way too much time here, haha. Can't really replace the Meetings I go to, but think you will find so many wonderful, great people here, and just wanted to say a big WELCOME.

Hey there!  Welcome!  I am new here too.  I also spend more time lurking than posting.  But I don't think there are any rules.  I was even a mean b***h in one of my threads I started and they still love me.  Just be honest and be yourself.

Hi Steve,

Welcome to this wonderful forum. I found it about two weeks ago and it is a great place to be. As for any 'do's and don'ts'... just be yourself. I have been amazed at the genuine friendship and warmth that has been given to me here. Keep reading and posting here - it really does help.
