Thanks all for your support to my 104 days............still counting............now 108 days!!
I had surgery on Tuesday for bad arteries in my legs. that was my left leg & will go in again for the right leg soon as possible, probably a few weeks. Out of work & going to attempt to get disability....bills still need to be paid.......one day at a time, right?
Trying not to over do it. I can't worry about the painkillers, etc. It's prescribed medication & damn, I need it.
And then, I need to quit smoking :) argh!!! I told the doc that I just quit drinking, now you want me to quit smoking, next it will be coffee...........it's just not fair!!!
Trying to accept with grace, but I gotta say, it's tough.
It's all for my health, and I'm worth it, and in time......i'll get there
Thanks again for all the support. I'm sorry that I don't post more often & that is something I will try to fix too.
and hope you heal up soon!!! Being on the computer is a huge problem for me, as far as my own circulation in my legs... I am in my early 30's and in pretty good shape as far as musculature goes, but I cannot sit for 5 minutes without my legs crossed. I can see the spider veins coming up, and I also feel 'numb' at times. Wish there was something I could do to MAKE myself sit correctly , before I have to start getting medical treament too... Got any suggestions? I may get a different computer chair... heck, a higher desk woulf maybe help too.... Second-hand store, here I come!!!
I am battling cigarettes too... it is a real rough one, and I am here if you need support.
Good to hear from you!!!

P.S... who is the actress on your avatar? Love old movie-stars.... :)
Well done on all that you are doing. 108 days really is fantastic. Keep on doing what you're doing 'cos it's working!
I was sorry to read about your surgery on Tuesday. I really do hope that you will soon be feeling so much better. You must look after yourself properly. I don't worry about any prescribed meds as my GP knows all about my alcoholism. If you need them, then you take them.
Ah, quitting smoking. That's something that I will be looking at at some point soon. I do hate the habit and I'm aware of how anti-social it is. But, for now, I'm concentrating on not drinking. For me, smoking isn't as important. I affectionately refer to it as my 13th step! But, as with all of the steps, I will be doing it.
With all best wishes for a speedy recovery,
Carol
