I'm in a bit of a spot here. Parked my Explorer in the DIFC this morning for a meeting and when I came back, the car was completely dead no lights, no central locking, absolutely nothing. I managed to get a jump start from a colleague, but now the dash is lit up with warnings and the start-stop system isn't working, which I know is a sign the battery management system is confused. I've heard that modern Fords with their smart charging systems need the battery to be properly registered or coded to the car's computer when it's replaced, otherwise it can cause all sorts of electrical issues. Since I'm stuck here in DIFC, I'm looking for a service that can offer trusted Ford battery replacement in DIFC and actually knows how to handle the coding properly, rather than just swapping the battery and leaving me with more problems. Has anyone used a mobile battery service around this area and can recommend one that does a proper job? I really need to get this sorted today before I end up stranded again.
