well, that's it. had to be pretty cruel to my ex on the phone and tell him to go away as I really can't bear talking to him at the moment without glass in hand.

Actually the one sober day is a bit of a godsend, rather than willpower, as I've had a bad cold that has gone to my lungs and have to be on antiobiotics, asthma puffers, etc. And where's the fun in drinking if you can't smoke?

I don't feel too bad, anyway!

Pretty cheery, actually (despite ongoing guilt about ex's loneliness and apparent desolation).

best wishes to all

Good going!  I live the one day at a time thing, not knowing if I'll be drinking the next, but as long as I go to meetings and stay in recovery chances are good that I will not drink the next day. Sorry about your cold, I hope you feel better soon.

Hi There,

Sorry you are ill, but just want to tell you something, maybe you have not heard in this little 24 hour a day Program.

Did you know that 24 hours is the Record, in this Program. and if you woke up earlier than me, and you did, being in Austrailia, you have about 8 hours over me today.

Hugs and will write later, as I mentioned in a PM, I have an appointment today, and have to get rolling, slowly, rolling.................

SO HAPPY TO SEE YOU BACK HERE WITH US, WAS MISSING YOU!

Toni

sycorax---yeah!!!  Way to go!  See, you can do it--you are doing!  Just keep telling yourself for the next 24 hrs you wont have a drink-- it is one day at a time!  Once you have a couple of days without any alcohol at all you will be amazed how wonderful you will feel!

You should be proud of yourself!

Love, Sherry
