Why Do Appliances Fail After Storms?

Hey everyone, after yesterdays storm a couple of my appliances started acting weird my fridge struggled to cool and the microwave kept resetting itself. Im trying to figure out why this happens every time theres a big weather event. Is this just normal or a serious issue?

Storms often trigger tiny voltage fluctuations that hit appliance control boards harder than people expect. Even when the power doesnt fully go out, the quick drops and spikes stress the electronics. Thats why things like fridges and microwaves start glitching afterward. The safest move is having a technician look at them before a small issue becomes a failed board. Major Appliance Repair https://majorappliancerepair.info/ handles a ton of post-storm diagnostics and they offer fast in-home appliance repair, so you wont be stuck hauling anything around. Their technicians check sensors, relays, and wiring to make sure the surge didnt damage anything deeper. They also work fast because they know a fridge cant sit unstable for long. A quick inspection usually brings everything back to normal before real failures develop.
