On a lighter note, what is your favourite song that you relate to recovery?

Mine is Here Comes the Sun by the Beatles.  I listened to it on the way to meetings all the time in my first 6 months.  I can really relate to that song.

"We all live in a yellow submarine...a yellow submarine...a yellow submarine..

"We all live in a yellow submarine.."

"And if we sink?"

Its because...weve wound up in the drink."

My version eh.....:)

Stevie Wonders "There's a ribbon in the sky for our love"

"With God on our side, theres a ribbon in the sky, for our love"

Wow, it's six in the morning in California, and I'm sitting here, singing that song, it is a fabulous song, for those that have not heard it, it will give you goosebumps.

Good Morning everyone!

Toni

... it's been a long cold lonely winter.  Little darlin, it seems like years since it's been clear.  Here comes the Sun, do do do do, Here comes the Sun.  And I say, it's all right. ...

I've got a few...but one in particular that pumps me up is "Alive" by P.O.D.

Everyday is a new day
I’m thankful for every breath I take
I won’t take it for granted
So I learn from my mistakes
It’s beyond my control, sometimes it’s best to let go
Whatever happens in this lifetime
So I trust in love
You have given me peace of mind

chorus:
I feel so alive for the very first time
I can’t deny you
I feel so alive
I feel so alive for the very first time
And I think I can fly

Sunshine upon my face
A new song for me to sing
Tell the world how I feel inside
Even though it might cost me everything
Now that I know this, so beyond, I can’t hold this
I can never turn my back away
Now that I’ve seen you
I can never look away

The ladies might like Charlene's  - I've never been to me.  It is an old 80's song but I think a lot of women in recovery can relate to its lyrics.

Have a musical day!

One of my favorites is

What if God was one of us (not sure if this is the official name) but I like it - sung by OZZY'S oldest daughter Joan.

Later - Jeannie
