I have just over 4 months Sober now....it's incredible!!! I have an awesome Sponsor...a great Home Group...and a definate 3 Meetings a week that I go to!

I started my Grudge List today for my Step Four....Ai yi yi! And I thought I had issues BEFORE I started Step Four! lol

Anyhow...it's one day at a time for me...and quite frankly, I LOVE living 24 at a time! So for anyone just joining us....take it one day at a time and do these 3 things:

-Don't Drink

-Go to Meetings

-Pray

then keep coming back, cuz it works if you work it! ((((HUGS)))))

Hey Dana, Ain't it great? I'm about where you are. Just 3 days shy of 4 mo. I've never felt better and I know I couldn't have done it without a great sponsor and many meetings. It's really a very simple program even with that dreaded 4th step.

Hi Dana,

Congratulations!!! Everyone remembers the stuggle with the 4th Step, but the rewards on the other side, after taking the 5th, with someone that you have made a choice about, (I used an AA Couselor, that was Extremely sharp) for the reason, that if i had not done this correctly, it would be pointing out to me. Some people use Priests that they know, anyway on the other side of the 5th Step, is the release of so much hidden stuff in our ole memory bank, looking back, I would have done it 4 times, to get to the other side of that 5th step.

It is explained in the 12 x 12, really thoroughly, Lights went on inside, that had been dimmed and broken, from my drinking career. And when I had completed my 5th step, a lot of my really scary fears of returning to Alcohol seemed to dissapear, the ones coming from all those so called "secrets" to me they were toxic, and had to be pulled out, and when they were no longer capable of driving be backwards, I could really feel the entire blessing of that 4th Step.

Did not mean to rambling, really just want to say Congrats on 4 Months and the work you are doing.

Toni

Toni,

Thanks so much for your congrats and sharing your experience with me on this. I have been reading the 12x12 and agree, it sure sheds light on things! I'm looking forward to being on the other side of step 5, that's for sure!

hugs,

Dana xo
