What A Wonderful Weekend!

If I felt any better I'd be twins. LOL! I spent over four hundred bucks this weekend, more than I earned. Got all my rent paid + mother's day gifts and all.

It feels good to be part of the family. This is probably the most functional my family has ever been!

I spent most of the weekend with my brother. Went to this place called Play It Again Sports and I found a weight bench and set of weights for a reasonable price. Put a deposit down and said I'd see 'em Friday! I've been wanting to get back into working out for awhile now. Can't wait!

I think it's important to do healthy things that I can enjoy sober. Sometimes it's hard to think about life outside of AA. My life pretty much revolves around AA.

At last Wednesday's meeting this guy asked me if I wanted to go to a Cubs game and I told him that I had to go to meetings daily. My sponsor spoke up and said "you're alowed to have fun!" So much for the 90 & 90.......

I'm a huge Cubs fan, even though they stink this year. I've always wanted to go to Wrigley Field and see them play. I'm really excited. Fun.......what's that? Trying to figure that one out still.

Oh well, I'm blabbing. Take it easy everyone!

wow, justin....  you sure brought a smile to my face. I'm glad that you are having a good weekend. I know what you mean about 'what's fun?'   That's part of our recovery.  Good clean fun instead of hangover highs.

I've been a Cubs fan too,,,  cuz of Sammy Sosa..  but he's not there this year.  Yeah,,  Wrigley Field...   please tell us how it goes, eh?

love in recovery,

amanda
