I made it to 5 days.

Sweats abit last night but not that much, alot better.  Very tired today.  Work was dull and irritating but nvm.

At tomorros meeting i can now say, for the first time, that i have some days sober.  I guess tomorrow night is gona be difficult after the meeting..  It finishes at 19:30 so i really dont wana have to drive around for 2.5 hours.  We shall see..

My bloody tongue is still full of ulcers..  They could be worse though, least i can still eat.. Just have to keep plastering them in Bonjela.. Stings like a bitch to start with but does work.

Well im gettin into bed soon to watch tv or something..  Another unhungover day awaits me tomorrow.

Night guys...and gals..

Get a good night in, Dear One. And make sure you get your Mum's recipe for the pudding for me, LOL. Have sweet dreams. Tomorrow will take care of itself. Go to a coffee shop after, or buy a new game magazine to read. It'll be okay. Just don't give it any power. And thanks for your imput today... Hugs Wren

Hello there,

And what you are doing, is just how we all do, string those 24 hours together.

So good to see you doing it.

They have something in this Country, call Glyoxide, it is a Peroxside for gums, you cannot swallow any, it would give you a stomach ache, but it really lathers up in the mouth and can really help with an open area of the gums. but I guess what you are doing is what the Doctor ordered. Sorry that you have to go thru this.

Hope you have a lazy slumber with the T.V. and relax. I love your phase of Unhungover. It is a keeper.

I am spending the later afternoon doing some Meditation, my head is all caught in this fear of this Dental Surgery coming up next Tuesday, I just want it to me next Wednesday, the day after. But this ------Fear of it is really getting on my nerves.
Has nothing to do with the REAL stuff, and just old familiar FEAR, from a long, long time ago, with another dental issue that was very traumatic. Self talk, is not working, so I have get the Big Guns out, haha (thats my Meditation CD) I have used it for 20 years, made me sail right thru some real horrible surgeries I have had in the past, so I do know the Drill, I just have to do the Work around this.

Hugs to you, and your stringing all these days together is So So Fantastic. We all here anytime, for you, you know that, and I loved your share to Robert, so caring and warm.

Love and Hugs, Toni

Way to go Rob!  I been kinda reading things here in the background for a while now and am very happy to see you getting your recovery underway.

Never think of how little time you have sober, think of how much time you have sober...

In 5 days there are...

  • . Or... 140 ...Hours Sober
  • . Or... 8414 ...Minutes Sober
  • . Or... 504,900 ...Seconds Sober

Thats evidence of a real Miracle In Progress!

Keep up the good work, stay strong, get to lots of meetings and say a please help prayer and a thank you prayer each day.

    Yours In Recovery,
    John

I had a thought when I read your post. Maybe when you go to tomorrows meeting you could talk and speak about fear of drinking that night and see what happens. We've all been there and you might hear some really cool stuff to help you through tough times. Just a thought!

Congratulations on another 24 hours! It does me good to see your progress. Keep it up!

Well done Rob. Don't worry about the ulcers, it's just one way of your body letting toxins out (same as the sweating) Probably your immune system is a bit run down too. It will pass.

Unless you've recently been excavating a bubonic plague pit.....

    Bye for now.

    Best wishes.

    Chris.
