Permalink

Hello folks, sorry I have not visited for a couple of days. I have been so busy, I started back to work on Monday and am having a good time at it for a change, I also take in 2 meetings a day one in the am and one @ 5:30 pm and then I am also doing what they call IOP so I am staying very busy both in my recovery and in my life.

On Sunday I went to have dinner at my daughters house with my wife, at the end of that night I found out it was time for me to come back home to stay. Today is a GREAT day because I will be at home this time tomorrow and finaly out of the 1/2 way house.

I want you all to know that this time(this is my third time back for those of you that don't know me) by the grace of my H/P which I choose to call God I am working my program to the hilt and praying ,working the steps and thanks to my sponser life can (for today) get no better. I have never felt so good and now I now with out a dought that I have hope and as long as I keep doing the do,s of this program it'll only get better one day at a time.

Thanks for your time and I'll see you all here from home.

Mike

Dont Quit
by anonymous

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all up hill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest! if you must; but don't you quit.

Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As everyone of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about
When he might have won had he stuck it out;
Don't give up, though the pace seems slow;
You might succeed with another blow.

Often the goal is nearer than
It seems to a faint and faltering man,
Often the struggler has given up
When he might have captured the victor's cup.
And he learned too late, when the night slipped down,
How close he was to the golden crown.

Success is failure turned inside out;
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt;
And you never can tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems afar;
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit;
It's when things seem worst that you mustn't quit.

That's great to hear, Mike. Hope is very important, and that is what we share with each other. Life has ups and downs, ya know?  but we get better coping skills.

Do your best and God does the rest.

Sounds like things are going good for you. Isn't sobriety wonderful, God's blessings and all?

Busy, busy, busy.......I can relate. It's a good thing to stay busy and get out of my head as often as possible. Take it easy Mike and keep coming back!!
