I just wanted to say hello and thank you for being here. Recovery has changed my life and I cannot thank AA and all the AA's enough. In 1993 my journey in recovery began and I continue to love my sober life. I was only a baby when I got sober (just 21) but through this program and sobriety, I think I have reached the teenage stage. Just kidding. I have found many wonderful blessing in this program and perhaps the one thing I am proudest of, is that my 4 year old son doesn't have to see his Mom drunk. Well, I am at work (amazing what recovery does;it helped me to be employable), so I must go do some work. I look forward to talking with you all.
So good to hear that you have been sober for some time, and you got an early start, does my heart good to hear that.
There are some people that come in and see us "older folks" (anyone over 30, haha), and think I am to young for this Program. Obviously, you didn't take that road, and it is so good to see you here, we are all ages, and that really does not matter, as I'm sure you know.
So I look very forward to getting to know you here.
It is wonderful to see someone my age with all the time you have. It's kind of hard to comprehend actually. Anyways, welcome aboard!!! There are a lot of good people here and I find this message board invaluable to my recovery. Keep coming back!!!
