wow, Paul. I needed to see exactly that exactly now. I'm not going to share all of why yet. It has to do with the generations of military men and the habit of being 'defensive' that is acting like a curse in my family. I had decided last night to really get into the Cross this Holy Week.
There are ways to defend ourselves without fighting. It's hard for me to think of any... anyone got any ideas? I guess 'acceptance' is one. umm 'effective communication' in conflict mediaation? anger management?
love in recovery,
amanda

Well, I'm still working on that. See there are at least 4 generations of warriors in my family. Fighting gets to be a way of life. Today... Step 3 for me. I surrender to God! And I'm going to let Him defend me while I just try to walk in His Way.
There is a saying, by Gandhi... that the Truth always rises to the top,,,, it can be buried, stifled, confused, but it always rises to the top again sooner or later. Same with Love,,, it can be rejected, abused, hidden, repressed, mocked, perverted... but.... it is Love that conquers all ultimately. Just gotta stand on it. the Promises
God bless you,
amanda
