You highlight over the word and smiley, and hit copy, once it is copied, you need to undue on the smiley page, before closing.

then when you hit Paste, the smiley and word will appear where ever your curser is.

Then highlight and remove the word, then with the curser to the left of the smiley, move the smiley into the page a little, then when you put the curser up to  the smiley, you should get a frame, when you click on the frame, it will let you move on all four sides,  up and down, and to the right and left.

That is how I started using,  beginners luck, but it helps if you ever want to make the smileys larger. i was used to doing this in a MS Paint Program.
