Out of Town, Need Chat Meeting

I'm currently out of town for work and the meeting schedules around here don't work with my schedule.  I'd just like to chat with other alcoholics or to respond to any messages posted here.  I'm nearing my one year and have a need to connect.

Hello Jennifer & Welcome to MiP.

I think that happens to a lot of us when we travel . I go Stateside every year or two , to a Navy reunion.

When I can , I find a local meeting & go to it , usually the reunion is held in a hotel that can accommodate

250 to 200 people & have a bar . Two formal dinners , Fri & Sat nite . Allthough no one has ever been drunk ,

some Don't realise how their personality changes when they drink.

At home , here in Aussie . I often travel alone to several "Spiritual" events  throughout the year , as well as a

couple of AA rallies . Some of the places I go here only have one meeting a week , so if I am in town for a show

at the weekend , their meeting may have been Wed . Happens to me a lot.

Hi Jennifer, ...

Our MIP 'on-line' meetings haven't worked out very well here, but we have a member that will post an alternative web site for 'on-line' meet'ns that's suppose to be pretty good I think ... he'll probably be around here before end of day ... His name is Tanin, I call him 'Pickle' cause of his avatar, LOL ...

Thank you, both, for responding! Luckily I've been pretty busy since I've been here. I've checked out local meeting times / locations and unfortunately, none work with my schedule. Plus, I don't have a vehicle while I'm here so I'm kind of stuck! I leave tomorrow and can't wait to get back to my home group. I do plan on being on this site after I get home, however, so I look forward to participating! Hope all is well with you both and have a wonderful day (if it's daytime where you are, LOL)!

That's Great Jennifer & Thank you for your response too. 4hrs after your post it is coming up 6:30am.

East coast Australia.

I usually have a rental to get around when I am Stateside & when I go , it is usually Reunion & home in 8/9days.

But when th wife comes with me , we make a holiday of it , we were in Montana this year for 2 & a half weeks.

Yes . Please keep dropping back in to let us know how you are doing.
