You know that it is going to be a bad day when you:
- You wake up face down on the pavement. - You see a "60 Minutes" news team waiting in your office. - Your birthday cake collapses from the weight of the candles. - Your twin sister forgot your birthday. - Your car horn goes off accidentally and remains stuck as you follow a group of Hell's Angels on the highway. - Your boss tells you not to bother to take off your coat. - The bird singing outside your window is a buzzard. - You wake up and your braces are locked together. - Your wife says, "Good morning, Bill," and your name is George.
Are you the type that expects every day to be a bad day? Some of us will allow life to grind us down to the point where we expect that life will always go wrong. We call it worry or anxiety. An average person's anxiety is focused on:
40% – things that will never happen 30% – things about the past that can't be changed 12% – things about criticism by others, mostly untrue 10% – about health, which gets worse with stress 08% – about real problems that will be faced
Most of us, in some form, worry about things that we cannot control.
I feel good today, I'm going to church here in another hour. Talk about scary. I haven't been to church in years. I figure I will go and take what I like and leave the rest.
I find that various churches have different types of people,,, so I go to a few of them, depending on what I feel I need that day. Sometimes I go to a Spanish one, and sometimes a local Episcopalian one. sometimes the nearest Catholic one, and sometimes a different Catholic one a couple of miles away. One church is more formal, and one more friendly, another more joyous, and one is more community oriented. So if you are not too happy with this one that you are trying out today,,, you might try another one next week. I hope that you had a good experience today.
God bless you,
amanda

I thought a bad day was when you wake up and realize your life sucks, and you know you're gonna have to fix it soon, because face it we're not getting any younger. Then I realized that could be a good day, depends on your perspective.
