In our group we often hear the slogan "Easy Does It." We who suffer our affliction always do everything to excess. We indulge our emotions. We worry too much. We have too many resentments. We tend to be addictive. We tend to hurt ourselves physically, men- tally, and spiritually by too much of everything. When we come into this program, we have to learn to take it easy. None of us knows how much longer we have to live. It's probable that some of us wouldn't have lived much longer if we had continued the way we were going. By stopping that kind of insanity, we have increased our chances of living for a good while longer. In the time I've been a member, have I learned to practice "Easy Does It"?

MEDITATION FOR THE DAY

You must be, before you can do. To accomplish much, be much. The doing must be the expression of the being. It is foolish to believe that we can accomplish much in personal relationships without first preparing ourselves by being honest, pure, unselfish, and loving. We will be given opportunities when we are able and worthy. Our quiet moments are good preparation for creative action.

PRAYER FOR THE DAY

I pray that I may constantly prepare myself for better things to come. I pray that I may have opportunities when I am ready for them.

i was like the pendulum.....too far left....too far right......either  not getting my needs met at all while i kill myself pleasing another......OR  being too needy and not even knowing what their needs are...........extremes  all the time.....

i am finally levelling off....oh yeah, i still do some things TOO much  as and addictive person would,  but i figure   TODAY,  i can   SLOW down....EASY does it,   and thank God this is a 24 hr. program, cuz i would feel overwhelmed with all my addictions/ compulsions....i notice that as i  learn to "mange one"   i switch to another.....so its STEP work,  and inner child pain  on the menu for me,   EVERY day.......people who think they graduate from this program????  good luck,  i know its a life time thing for me.................gr8 share, rosie
