It's a sunny Saturday here in Boston and I thought I'd just take a minute to say hi to everyone. I don't remember if I've ever started a post here - I may have - but a couple of group members have made me feel welcome in the past few weeks so I wanted to say thanks. We're heading out for some walking and shopping as soon as my daughter Sheila wakes up from her nap. Castle Island in South Boston seems like a good bet... There's a great outdoor meeting there at the foot of the pathway leading to the "SugarBowl" that should be starting up again in a few weeks. I actually met my wife there.... We're going to have a great day... amnd soon (seven months) we'll be a family of four... It just keeps getting better. Bye for now Mike
So good to see you make a Post. And your day sounds so great, and a family of four coming up in seven months, wow, that is truly wonderful!
I know you have a very very busy schedule in your days and weeks, just a thank you for Posting.
There is so much joy in our lives, I have been dealing with an old neck injury and sitting at this PC does not help, but I wanted to say that even with this annoying "pain in the neck" (HA HA) literally, I can still find joy in the fact that first, acknowledge it for what it is, try to ignore it really, and just carry on in life as if it is not even there, I have many things to do today, and I will make every effort to get them done. Asking for His help with all of it, and will be satisfied with the results. Werner Erhart, came up with a saying that I am going to borrow today, "Happiness........Just a Decision Away"
I look forward to seeing you again, and you are very much a part of this MIP board. We are here together, all of us, new people, not so new people, and anyone that is signed in is Part of.
Personally, find it so good to hear about your Good Life, that is what Recovery brings, a better life. And it humbly brings with it so much Gratitude.
This is the longest stretch of sobriety for me in 9 years, and man, I gotta agree with you.
I saw a t-shirt once that said "A bad day fishing is better than a good day at work", I would have to paraphrase "A bad day sober is still far better than a good day drunk"!
