I do not post much for the smiple fact that I do not know what to post being I might be attacked.  I'v read lot's of your guys fights and it's still the same old fights used in AA.  Who can out talk recovery more than another person.  It happens all the time in AA and it's sad.  I think everyone must remember that this is "not AA",but a recovery web site and that is what makes it great.  Great because a person does not really have to stick with the AA talk and that they can be themselves being that this is not AA.  I find that the "butt kicking is a turn off" and I for one open up more when people are nice.  I'v had a lot of issues come up in my life, not all about AA,but just issues that I would have liked to post on the board.  It would have been nice if I felt free enough to ask for some step work involving these issues, but again I was too afraid.  I hope the owner of the board tells everyone to knock it off and be nice again.  It would be sad to see half this board leave because of the same old "my program is better than your program" issue.

hi, zoomie,,,  yes,,, the owner of the board, John,  is back and is now investigating what is going on and is going to make some decisions that will help the board to function constructively again. thanks for your post about the situation. I'm sure he is looking at it and it will help him to understand people's perspectives on it.

Thanks to all who have shared, cuz that is how a 'group conscience' works in a 'we' program. One of the issues is how close to AA principles we will be staying.

God bless you

love in recovery,

amanda

Zoomie, This too shall pass. I took a few days break...kind had to regroup and figure out what my part in the scheme of things is. It's just to share my experience, strength and hope here. Mine may not be what ya'll want to hear, but it's all I have...can't make something up. Glad you are here . Hope all is going better with the family.

Have a great sober 24 !

>>>>>>>.rosie>>>>>zoomie i hear ya,  and i am sorry u felt uncomfortable to post.....i would love to hear u share ur issues.....i hope u do becuz i think most of us are really caring/ loving people.....we are just people,  imperfections and all,  and i have seen folks  "get on each other"  too....that is where detachment comes in....i just   "let them do what they gotta do" and i work my program......please share!!!  i am interested in what u have to say...and i know i speak for a lot of others.......and i LOVE working the steps....they are my "life 101" manuel....b4 recovery, i had NO clue as to how to live...the steps changed all that....."god bless the steps and the guy who invented them"........hugs to U, from rosie
