The BENEFIT of the Doubt!

Hi and Good Saturday Morning to Everyone!

I was doing some thinking (I know, that's not always a good thing, Ha) But anyway, I was thinking of how, when we look at Disasters in Life, We give God the Benefit of the Doubt!

Cannot Blame Him, and we Don't!

And when this Alcoholic that lived in a Blackout for the last few years of her Drinking, it was God that gave me the Benefit of the Doubt, and gave my life, back to me. Through his Grace.

When I see all of what  seems to be a Lack of Love here on this Board, I question it,  and I wonder why we cannot extend that Benefit of the Doubt to anyone that is still suffering with anything, why can't we give to others what was so FREELY given to us.  THE BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT!

I hope that I am not coming across as self-righteous,  I just don't understand, to quote good old Rodney King, "Why can't we just get along?".

As far as what I had said about the Cliques in any Group, I was referring to the general Population and the Books that have been read on the Dynamic of When People Congregate in Groups, there tends to be that faction.

I have experienced, along with many of you, in meetings, and the Solution for me is to get my ass to another meeting where that dynamic will not be there.

AA, as a Fellowship, has more tolerance than that Cliquey stuff, generally as a rule, we would have to be free of that, for the most Part, or this Organization would not have survived, in my opinion.

This is not an AA meeting, granted, but we do know the guidelines to the meetings, and have been shown what tolerance means, and acceptance of all who join, we all know that dynamic more than the other stuff.

Just wanted to get some thoughts out today,

And if you are going to criticize what I had to say, I am going to ask you in advance to please Give me the Benefit of the Doubt.

Amen, and Love, Toni

Thanks Toni, No,crosstalk from me. I'm taking what I like and leaving the rest. The program works if we work it. Bill W. and the others set up a program that I see no reason to change.
