A Better Day!

Well I woke up, and my first thought was that I needed to do a 10th step here on MIP.  Felt I should have kept all that misery to myself.

But I don' really understand a lot the Program, and that's a good thing.  I do know that "no matter what" I did not drink through those "Black out emotions" that I experienced yesterday, did not run away from them, let them be. And I walked right through the middle of those emotions, it did not feel easy to do. But it was simple.

Made myself a big Plate of Homemade Speghitti, followed by a big bowl of Yummy Ice Cream, put PJs on and went to bed.

I am feeling like an adult today, if that's possible,TeHe.  But seriously, yesterday, it was my inner Child that was hurting so, so much, and I just took care of that little girl inside me, kind of like I use to take care of my little Annie.

Came onto the MIP Board, and Went Boo, Hoo, Boo Hoo,  Poor little Toni, and needed to do that. Some might say it was not healthy, but it felt healthy to me. Bottom line, it does not matter.

Made it through a tough day, and i am feeling somewhat good today, am looking forward to a noon meeting, and that is my plan, I have a lot to do today, banking, laundry, errands, but these things come second to putting my butt in chair at 12:00 noon.

So this lady is saying good morning to all and wishing you a Good Day.

And I hope for all of us that went through "whatever" that was, it has passed for all of us. Oh, and by the way, Thanks Rick, one cyber hug sent with love,  was enough, So thanks my friend!

God Bless, and love, Toni

hey, toni....  I'm glad you got through it okay. I did too, and I thank you. I've always been told that part of the program is to share our concerns and needs albeit in constructive ways,,,  and that is part of the support. I've been told that when I have HALT  to stop and tend to my real needs there. I think we have all been doing fine. We have all been sharing our concerns and supporting each other in them, for the most part. Learning how to support each other in healthier ways than we did before when our common solution was to drink, or go on a dry drunk.

so, friends,,,  we can chalk up another one,,,  one day when we helped each other to get through things in constructive ways.

love in recovery,

amanda
