I am going to spend the day cleaning up, washing windows, polishing wood, vacuuming, and making things look really their best.
I am Roasting a Duck, tommorow, by Request, for a person that I have only known for 8 months, that is moving out of state.
It is a farewell to someone that i have been lucky enough to have known this past year.
I feel very greatful that I can do all of these things, still, sober, and never want to forget, what a "Private Drinking Party" I use to have, when trying to accomplish these things in the past.
It is also somehow doing something good for me on the inside, regard my little Annie, that we Let go with Love. What's the saying, "If you love someone, set them free" Thinking about that one today, as I gladly clean my house and gladly Roast the Duck. (that was at one time something that was a big burden to do, too much fat and mess). God does for us what we cannot do for ourselves.
Well Toni ...are you worn out yet? It sounds like you are doing great ! I hope your friend appreciates all that you are doing to say farewell.
Everything use to have to be such a big production for me in the past, so grateful to just be able to live without the drama.Have a relaxing evening and bask in the tidiness.
Hi Toni, got to ask, your doing what to a duck? thought you said roasting???
Ducks are for eggs and as friends not food... only joking, but don't let my two hear about cooking the cousins!
Seriously though, hope the night works out, have a good one and stay sober!
Best wishes
Chris.
