It seems as though people may not be posting as often, but what is posted is really good stuff. Lots of meditation and reflection material. It seems there has been some questions about what we should post? I have been wondering about some of the newbies, how they are doing...Franklin, is one of them? Hint, hint...
You know I have a tendancy to analyze and question things..and that is one thing I've had to let go of in the program, to know that everything is just as it's suppose to be today.I have been called the mother hen here wanting to know how all the little chicks are doing, just as with my children.I don't ask as often as I use to but I'm so happy and relieved when someone who's been missing checks in.
Have you ever been to the Al-anon board, I visit there, read...don't post often. I qualify because I am a triple winner...Adult child of an alcoholic and I'm married to an alcoholic, it always amazes me how much more they post over there...how active their chat room is...how open and antimated they are. What's the difference, in them and us? I don't know, it just is.
I would hope that we can share anything we need to on this board, I was sharing alot for awhile about my husband who was send back to jail, but didn't know if I should do that...it really is his deal and there is nothing I can do except pray for him. My part is I miss him, I love him, but I have to let go and let God.
Bottom line to me is to let people be who they are, share what they need to share, when they need to share it. Reach out to the newbies and the still suffering alcoholic, be here when someone needs me. I am so blessed by this board and the vision that John and others had, blessed to be a part of the MIP family. I know I can't control anything except myself and have a a difficult time with that occasionally. Thanks to all for being here, it's our board and we set the tone.God bless.

My version: And then it's nap time... its an over 30 thing...
Hope you are all well. I'm very busy at the moment workwise, finding it hard to get back into it after the holiday. I got a phone call at 2am, it went like this:
Phone rings
Julie (wife) 'thats your phone'
me (picking up the phone and looking at it like it just fell from the sky!)
Julie 'answer it then'
me (brain just starting to work) 'hello, chris here
Clive (the boss at the funeral home) ' Hi chris, we have a removal, see you in half an hour'
me (brain obviously not working fully) 'Hi Clive, may be a while, i'm in Fiji!
Clive 'No you're not, you're in your own bed, get up....'
Starting to get used to being on call again now!
One of the best things about the job I do is that even if I wanted a drink, I could'nt have one because I'm driving a lot of the time!
Hope to spend more time here in the future, by attendance has been somewhat sporadic to say the least!
Best wishes to all, bye for now.
Chris.
