Goodmorning Jeannie, Brrrrrrrr ! That certainly is cold. We are having a heatwave in the flatlands of Texas, 34 degrees this morning. The weather is predicting snow for tomorrow. I'm sitting here with my second cup of coffee, got to get ready for church in a bit.
In my morning meditation I was praising my God for my sobriety, even after all these years it is new every morning.
Mornin' Jeannie (and Gammy too)! It's SUNDAY girlfriend. The ONLY day I get to sleep in, and that's only every other week!!! WOW, BRRRRR, cold up there. It's about 40 here and windy as all get out! I got lawn furniture that was stacked up under the shed all over the danged yard this morning!!!
Keep yourself warm. And have an awesome day of sobriety.
Love and Hugs

It's to be 10 to 17 today in up state New York. We had some snow last night, enough to go sledding with the kids. We shall see though I'm not a winter person. I'm from California and I'v been here for 17 years. You think I'd be use to the cold by now LOL.
20 F and extremely windy in New Haven, Connecticut today... It's been a balmy January the past 2 weeks, highs in the 40s, otherwise all that rain would have been a blizzard!
I say that reluctantly, this am. being out here in California, I just have to say my friends back East just don't want to hear anything from me today. TeHe and TeHe
Weather report from the UK: Rain, Slightly chilly at 6 degrees C, a bit more rain and more rain predicted. Excelent weather over here, best for ages! (Hint of sarcasm)!
Anyone want any duck eggs? They've started laying and the kitchen is full of the ducking things!
Have a good and sober day all.
Bye for now.
Chris.

PHIL ---- My computer is not frozen - just a bit of frost bite on the tip of my fingers from the keyboard - yes - I know you type with only one body part so that would mean only one part has frost bite? (hope it's a finger not anything else - if you know what I mean). I agree it has been a lot worse but every body part of mine is very, very cold. (It's more fun getting warmed up than cooled off - don't you agree)? Walking to work was alright - I more or less slid to work with the wind pushing me from behind. I wouldn't take a taxi to work anyway because they are to expensive and I hear the owner/driver is a mean and bitter old man. ROFLMAO.
Later - Jeannie

Thanks everyone for the forcast.

Paddled 4 miles on my paddleboard this afternoon. Saw a whale on the way back. I don not know how you people adapted to live in the cold. I was born pretty close to sea level and the six years I spent near the Wind River range in Wyoming (at @8000 ft elev) taught me that for me- it's a novelty. I'm not cut out for that cold weather stuff.
There was snow on Mauna Kea at Christmas though ;)
I'm in St. Petersburg, Florida. I had 21 months and then went on a 5 day drinking spree. Now I'm back in the saddle (so to speak), and am just seeing who's available to talk to.
I am new here myself and do not feel I have a lot of ES & H to offer. But there is no shame in taking a fall. Not a soul here will cast a stone. You are back and that is all that matters. Don't focus on yesterday or tomorrow. Today is all that is important. Glad you are back.
