Hi everyone. my nameis Jim and im a alcoholic. i just signed up and would like to say hello to everyone this am. god bless and help someone stay sober today.
thanks you guys and gals. im excited to meet you and will post often. always looking for any little way to stay sober and also active in my sobriety. i started seeking the program in 1991, had to see if i could be normal, it didnt work. but now my craving for alcohol has been removed(mostly), now im interested in learning on how to live life on lifes terms. The challenges are huge, but i dont drink no matter what. i truely love you all and hope i made some more friends in this truely wonderful program. in the next few weeks i will be going through some much needed dental work, so i can smile with confidence again. im a smiling outgoing person, but i have missing teeth, and it makes me embarrassed in public, but thank god i am finally getting it taken care of starting today!!! lol. i have overcome one of many fears to come. and for this i am thankful.
Just a P.S. I also am facing some major dental stuff, removing and replacing with two dental implants in the front area of my mouth and AM NOT looking forward to that as all, But really, what's the alternative. No Alternative, so just one more of life's little hurdles, but we do it Sober , One day at a time, and one heartbeat at a time. (and truly grateful for being able to have the correct work done)
well good am everyone. well i had another setback yesturday. i went to the dentist and the receptionist told me i had some paperwork problems and it will be a couple of weeks before i can get my dental work done. i have been in this process for about a year now. the other dental office gave me wrong info. and now this place is delaying it even further. again i did not drink over it. This too shall pass, and everything will be o.k.
