wb. I don't quite understand why you are sooo anxious to get more than one sponsee. I thought that it just kinda happens. And why you want them online instead of through your face2face groups. It's kind of hard to do real sponsoring online. We can give feedback and support, but it's really not the same.. long distance sponsoring.
Well, you have a great sober day today.

Where I live there are no active meetings. Also, I know people who have moved cross-country and kept their original sponsors, cotacting them trough the telephone.
When I was new to the program, I trusted noone. My first sponsor had a brain embolism. I felt safe with him because he forgot what was discussed shortly after and I had no fear of gossip. If I had known about long distance sponsoring I probably would have gone that route.
I would get to know the prospect pretty well before working through all the steps with them.
The most important thing is I believe God gave me this particular tool for a pourpose and if I don't make myself available to new alcoholics then I run the possibility of losing the sobriety thet I have. Also, if a person reads this and we get together, don't you suppose God could have had a hand in it?
I agree, there are limitations, but I'm reminded that with the help of that power greater than me, that nothing is impossible.
thank you for explaining. hey,, you can give it away to me. We all give it away to each other.. so I hope you keep coming here and share with us like you are doing. With me it would be more like equals than sponsor/sponsee but I like that. I learn and grow sooo much from reading all the shares here.. from Gammyrose, Doll, Phil, and everybody,,, and you too, and I hope other people learn and grow from my shares too.
gratefully recovering,
amanda
