My name is Chris B.. I am 51yrs., and been clean & sober since Aug, 1988. My first home group was in Long Beach Ms. If anyone cares to hold closed meetings over the internet, Please, advise me. I enjoy smaller groups, however I also am prepared to commit to participating in a closed discussion 3 nights a week. I am pretty flexable on the meeting times. Welcome to the board. The meetings are on tues and sat nite 9pm est but I don't know if many people show up to them. I don't have a chance to get to them very often....my f2f is then. If you want to schedule some different times you should email John(moderator) and he'll send you the information you might need. I will try to attend if I can.
Thank you, Cheri. I appreciate your responce. We are working on moving into our new house. so many repairs and cleaning up to do leaves us pretty exausted. Right now it's 10:20 CST and I'm getting a 2nd wind.
So many miracles and great things happen almost every day. One of my baby girls (29), just got her 60 day chip.All of her life she had been very internal and quiet. She dove into an addiction and fortunately made it out. Since she came into the program, she has been very open and communicative. I don't pull punches or baby her, however, I take every advantage at letting her know I am here to support her and she doesn't need to worry, if she has things to spew, that I'll wind up being a self-rightious, judgemental parent.
I love my children, even though when I was in the middle of my own addiction, I didn't have a clue on how to love them. I can now show them just how important they have always been to me.
How do the meetings here work? Are they scheduled or do folks just agree to a time to get together?
