NOTHING GROWS IN THE DARK

We will want the good that is in us all, even in the worst of us, to flower and to grow.
AS BILL SEES IT, p. 10

With the self-discipline and insight gained from practicing Step Ten, I begin to know the
gratifications of sobriety -- not as mere abstinence from alcohol, but as recovery in every
          department of my life.
I renew hope, regenerate faith, and regain the dignity of self-respect. I discover the word
"and" in the phrase "and when we were wrong, promptly admitted it."
Reassured that I am no longer always wrong, I learn to accept myself as I am, with a new
sense of the miracles of sobriety and serenity.

             -------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ya'll have a great weekend. Stay happy, healthy and sober.

See ya when I get back Sunday.

Love and Hugs

Doll

hey ((doll))   thanks for the  step 10 reminder....i call it my  "daily report card"   oh i remember the days when i thought i was ALWAYS  right   or  when i first decided to face life sober, i was ALWAYS wrong.....now the pendulum is in the middle   *when* i am wrong/ promtly admitting it and when i am not wrong,  not *sucking up*  if i am not wrong....like shaeksphere said  "be true to thine self"   and that basically to me is what step 10 is all about........thanks,   hope you are doing ok,     hugs/ rosie
