Anything I copy and post on our board, arent things that are paved in stone.:) They are views from help sites and other AA sites that I use for my own benefit and pass them on to the board. Its a keep an open mind thing. There can be a lot of contraversy with some of it, and some articles do contradict others re different sites, and have different opinions.

We are a pretty wide open AA site here, which is great--and I enjoy sharing with you all, anything I can, pertaining to living sober-in any aspect.

I also welcome others views, on any topic on the board, and I think its awesome, that we can all do that.

I am humbly--only a very small part of this family, we have here, and appreciate each and every one of you.

For those, that havent been here that long, this site has saved my life--sober-twice. --at 2 different stages of sobriety, when there was no hope--and there was only one thought in mind.

It took a long time for this self centered guy to "GET it" and a lot of other things that go with that, and its an ever ending learning experience--one day at a time.

LeeJosepho.??  I appreciate youre feedback on that Rage post--some more food for thought.

We not only share our experience, strength and hope here--we share understanding, and a bond of love that cant be broken. We cry together--laugh together-learn together--and even tho we dont always agree--thats ok too-we are alcoholics(smile)

Have a great night!!

Same here, my fellow.  Looking back, I almost have to wonder how either I or anyone within earshot survived my first five years.  But amidst all the chaos, there was always at least a few of us who, all "having shared in a common peril" (page 17) were as serious as serious can be about trying to figure this deal out.  Sadly, however, most folks never find their ways to the bottom of that page.

I tried to be careful there, for my concern there was only for the sake of anyone with as serious of a "rage" problem as I have had in the past and must still carefully watch out for.  In other words, I did my best to share in a complementary way as much as possible and without saying anything at any expense.

Bottom line for/from me?  By the grace of the One who created us, I will go to my grave ever trying to carry the original A.A. message to any real alcoholic (page 21) who might be anywhere nearby ... and the best way for anyone to get me out of sight or earshot for at least a while is to tell me where I might find one to try to help!  I suspect some of them might get "sentenced to AA" from time to time, but by the time they get here, they have likely already heard far too much ego-feeding nonsense and paid too much money to really consider letting go of those old ideas still new to them in order to permanently recover ...

... ah, but there I go again!

Peace to you ...

P.S. Is anybody who does not know interested in hearing what is really in that Big Book?  Overall, its theme is a simple one: All about alcoholics and "God" and others.

If you have already heard "Charlie and Joe", maybe it is time for a little of "'God' will constantly disclose more to you and to us" (page 164) ...

Or, maybe some folks would be interested in hearing about the three styles of A.A. in the early days and how the A.A. presented in the book is yet a fourth that has since become two!
