Worry doesn't help tomorrow's troubles,

but it does ruin today's happiness.

I have found that most of what I worry about never happens, so I wasted alot of time and brain power on something senseless . When I find myself worrying I say the serenity prayer, I hand the worry to God, He deals with these things so much better than me.

Thanks Doll, I needed a reminder not to let worry live in my mind today. How are you today?

How you doin', Chris?

It's gettin' easier for me to smile with each passing day. That crappy old saying I hate so much, "this too shall pass" , is so very true, with time !

So true, so true!

I have been learning more and more through this program of sobriety, to accept the things I cannot change, to change the things I can, and to know the difference between the two.

I am also learning that with this new way of thinking, we can be "comfortable in our own skin", which is something I think a lot of us alcoholics have had trouble doing.

Hang in there Doll!

Lot's of love and serenity (inner peace) still in this world, that's yours for the taking.

Dan

hey doll  and grammy

i was the perennial  **gloom and doom* gal....waiting for the **other shoe to drop*.....what a relief, to have this program to  dump all that crap on.....i mean even if the worse case scenario happens,  it slike  "i can not do anything anyway"...so even more important to dump on the higher  power....i21 months of practice  "detaching- walking away"   somehow when i release the karma,  its like the universal power can come in and  at least get me through it........thanks for these shares....i needed to see this......hugs, rosie
