That where there are shadows, I may bring light.
That where there is sadness, I may bring joy.
Grant that I may seek to comfort rather than be comforted,
To understand, than to be understood.
To love, than to be loved.
For it is by forgetting that one finds. It is by forgiving that one is forgiven. It is by dying that one awakens to eternal life.
Ever notice that when in the depths of our despair, by helping others we can be pulled out of that abyss? I pray that I find someone today who needs help and understanding.
Things are ok on my end...the girls are doing great and God has sent me some alkies to work with. Not everything is as I would like it...but that's the catch...it's not what I want but what God wants for me. Still trudging the road and staying sober, one day at a time. Got lots to work on this year...but as long as I don't drink, I have all the time in the world.
