In our belief any scheme of combating alcoholism which proposes to shield the sick man from temptation is doomed to failure. If the alcoholic tries to shield himself he may succeed for a time, but he usually winds up with a bigger explosion than ever. We have tried these methods. Amen to that!!! Why??? Because we can never "shield" our own minds from obsessing about it, not without a spiritual awakening/psychic change. Doesn't matter if we try ONLY dry people in dry places, alcohol lives on and speaks to us in our minds, 24/7 until we let a power Greater than ourselves change our minds/thinking for us.
