Anyway, I need a good laugh. We're heading over to a family get together this afternoon, which will include heavy doses of drinking and dysfunction. I plan to avoid both, but if I can't, I'm out of there.
LMAO! I loved that clip, Jen! Thanks so much for sharing it & Yes! Can totally relate. I was a bit like that when I was leathered too lol Thank God not today ;) lol Can still get enjoyably excited though & I love that giddy, sober, thrilled, Joyous feeling! Lovely that it can be genuine & in tune still with people around me. Good luck with your party. You're sounding great, Jen. All the right moves. Come back & tell us how it went. Love & luck in your sobriety, Danielle x

Ok, so I wasn't THAT bad. I never jumped out of a window as far as I can recall (but I guess that isn't saying much).
The party was lovely. I hung out with the little ones mostly. At one point my 3 year old decided to dip her cookie in the pool -- all I saw was her little butt sticking up in the air at the edge of the pool. Thank God I was sober, so I made it to her in about a nanosecond and stopped her from toppling in head first. There was a lot of drinking, and at one point when I walked by a big bottle of wine I salivated but it passed quickly. And the dysfunction was kept to a minimum. All in all, it was a good end to a good weekend.
