Hi all:
As some of you know I had some serious issues I needed to tell my husband. I was sooo scared and kept putting it off because of fear.Fear of being judged, getting "yelled" at, and him just plain kickin me to the curb.
Last night I finally spilled the beans. We went to have coffee together before our respective meetings and were just sharing alot of things that have been going on this week.  The moment just seemed right. I didnt go into any long winded details (believe it or not) but just got right to the point.

God is sooo good! He (my husband, not God) was so calm and understanding! Most of all he felt bad I didnt feel like I could tell him and that Ive held on to it for so long! I finally really feel like I can get on with my sobriety and life!

I made this huge mountain out of a molehill for no reason. I can see what Doll meant by being so spent after being honest with her 4th step. I felt sooo dang good! Arent we so lucky that even tho what I did will need some addition work to clear it but its not the end of the world. I can now move on....Had I not been in AA none of this would have worked out the way it did! For that I am so thankful.
Just thought Id share, thanks
Lani

I thought you'd already told him lol Just goes to show God's delays arn't God's denials. Well Done, Laurie. I'm glad it's worked out & you feel better. There may still be some fall~out to come & a bit of upset at times as he processes the finer details & comes to terms with it for the long run but these will hopefully iron out & make you both stronger in your helping & understanding towards each other. Keep your patience & stay true. Well done, honeycheeks. Have a happy, sober day. Danielle x

That sounds a lot like where my husband and I have progressed to in our marriage lately. It is indeed so freeing to just get all the baggage out in the open, deal with it and move on.

So so hapyy for you, Lani!

Oh man, you're not going to tell us the details? I thought we were friends lol.

Seriously glad to hear it went well, even though your husband's an enabler (I'd have kicked you out lol)

Good going lani, now behave yourself smile.gif
