I'm taking the granddaughter shopping for clothes at a big mall in Wichita, and I have no doubt it will be jam packed with last minute shoppers.
I do everything within my power to avoid any kind of shopping after Thanksgiving till after the 1st of the year!

We don't do a tree anymore at my house. It just seemed negligent and kind of a lot of work to just throw it out in two weeks. My daughter's B-day was three weeks ago so I took care of her then, and it took me about an hour to shop for my son. I do need to wrap his presents but I may go pay some kids who are wrapping for a fundraiser to do it. Today I sat here:
Where I'll be until tomorrow afternoon. We figured we'd skip presents and go to a hotel for a couple days instead. The GF used to work here and got us an associate's rate (super cheap!) My boy and I swam all day and now he's watching a cartoon and fading fast. I'm going to finish a chapter in my book and then take a nap, go get some dinner later and then go for an evening swim and early to bed.
Y'know I was thinking today that these hotels are a real risk for me. Fruity little girlie drinks with pretty colors and umbrellas all over the place. I've been combatting that by eating tons of great food. Life doesn't suck. And today I'm sober and happy and not stressed out. :) Happy days.
