Hi, everyone. My name is Diana, and I am an alcoholic. I am trying this board, looking for some ES&H for times between meetings. My sobriety date (after a relapse) is 11/24/07. Glad I made it back to the rooms, not everyone does.
That's all I got for now. Any tips for navigating this place would be appreciated!
Welcome to MIP. This really is a special board with some great people here.
I'm so glad that you made it back to AA. It took me eighteen months to get back and my life has turned around since then. As you say, not everyone makes it back. We're the lucky ones.
Take care,
Carol

I am Joni from Akron, Ohio. I too relapsed recently , and my sobriety date is 11/19/07, really close to yours. We can do this together, with the help of AA!
This board is a great place to check in and stay focused on recovery when I am not at a meeting.
Check out the Private messaging, available if you click on another user's icon and profile. There is also a whiteboard to leave public messages to a person in their profile page. Enjoy!
((((hugs)))) joni

Thats for damn shure... By the way, you and me have the same sobriety date...welcome to the boards-- and dont falloff the wagon, cause since we have the same date, ill probly figure out a way to rationalize that that means I can do it too...F***in alcoholics, eh?
Anyways, welcome to the boards!

Welcome to MIP, Diane. I hope it adds as much to your sobriety as it does for me. I'm really glad you're doing so well with your new stopdate. Here's to you continuing in your success 1Day@aTime. Keep doing the next right thing & you won't go far wrong. Well done, lady. Keep coming back & sharing so we can know you better. It's lovely that you share your sobriety date with Zarathustra also. I hope you can spur each other on! Love in recovery, Danielle x
