Can definitely agree with that... I'm not wanting to drink, that fear of drinking and the consequences of it and where it took me before is still fresh in my mind. But was just emailing my online sponsor and had to sit there and remind myself what it was like going through another addiction of mine, one that I very easily try to justify and say it's not so bad because it's not a drug, when in reality it is more or less the same thing and could kill me just as easily as alcohol. Began to realize the insanity of it of the whole disease of *any* addiction and the depression and everything that goes along with the disease, once I started trying to rationalize why it'd be "Ok" to do it. Seeing these posts here helped a bit too with a bit of a reality check. Thanks CarolinaGirl and Chris... Prayers for you and your friend CarolinaGirl... and prayers for your friend also Chris.
