Life is good...  I got a little kitten curled up next to me with her head resting on my arm  biggrin

I got 2 kitties today....  everyone is surprised I didn't take all 4  lol  The one I posted the pic of earlier is named Lily....  and the one curled up by me right now is Bella, she's already spoiled rotten  lol  Lily is just a bit skittish, I'm letting her warm up to me on her own time....  my dog was pretty interested in them, and well, Lily didn't like being sniffed....  lol  So now if Callie comes within about 5 feet of her she's hissing and sputtering and clawing  lol  And if I make too sudden of a move near her she hisses....  but she's comin around, she does jump up on the couch to see me, and lets me pick her up and hold her then.  But I'm trying to give her her freedom to adjust on her own time.

Anyway, here's a few of pics.....  smile

LOL Phil :) Well, we never had a problem with our cats and chickns..... I'm hoping with getting the chicks while the kittens are so young I shouldn't have too much problem, raise them up to be farm cats.... lol

When I got my chicks in the spring, our cat Sissy had never been around chickens before, and we'd been keeping her inside so she hadn't seen the chickens outside either... She sat and watched them for about 3 days then after watching me handle them so much, she realized they were pets and we never once had a problem out of her. The other cat had been on a farm so long, he knew he couldn't mess with them. But I realized just keeping the chicks in a tote at first isn't going to work... unless I rig up a wire lid for it... lol My friend's bringing me a brooder, but I don't know if it has a lid on it either.

Your "family" is very adorable. Yeah, the country is sort of infamous for the mice thing.
Looks like in time that little problem will be taken care of.
It's amazing how one can "fix up"/furnish on a budget. Suggestion: be cautious on the credit card thing. It can sneak up on ya very quickly. Have known far too many got themselves in some trouble.
Happy Birthday!

Wanda,
well, I'm sorta being careful with the credit cards....  lol  er, they did get run up a bit with the traveling and all....  but I do make sure to make payments on time and all that, even if it's only the minimum payment....  when I have more money I pay way more than the minimum payment, I'd had them all paid off, just the traveling and the new house ran them back up (they all have low limits)...  but....  I'll have my ad in the paper next week, for cleaning houses....  and my ex is *finally* giving me the money he was supposed to give me when the divorce was final which will help a lot.

One of my friends loaned me some money when I first got moved in, but he said to take care of everything else first before paying him back, cuz when I first moved in, I had pretty much NO money....  then starbucks was stupid enough to give me a credit card  lmao  Nah, I really am careful with it, it kills me to put so much on credit cards, but I know I'll be working a little bit soon, and I'm getting my medicaid straightened out.  I do live fairly simply, but there were things I needed when moving in....  and the gas expenses with having to drive so far to meetings.  And yes, the cats were a necessity cuz of the mice!!!  lmao

That friend that loaned me money is somewhat helping funding my chicken business  lol  at least helping out on the coop and all.  I probably should have waited on them, but also the sooner I get them, the sooner they'll be laying and I will have the bit of extra income from that also.  Someone out here said I shouldn't have any problem with selling chicks and eggs at the flea market here.

Ok, enough rambling from me....   gotta send some pics to my friend, of his new god-daughter-kittens LOL  and I can't multitask while sending pics....  I hate dial up  lol

Sweet, a Calico and a Tortoise Shell. In the cat world they are known as Party colors along with Torties or Torbies, they're always girls . So you got yourself a couple of Party Girls.
Bob.
