I feel a lot better today! My boyfriend drank 6 or 8 beers last night and I had a cup of hot tea! I feel better and better everyday! My appointment with my doctor is today and I am seeing my counsler tomorrow. I can do this I know I can.
I don't miss the hangovers at all, and I had them ALL the time!

great news keep up the good work! Just don't forget where you came from least you're bound to return. It's and easy thing to do when you start to feel better. That's why we keep coming back so that the new comers can remind us where we will go back to if we slip up and pick up. Thanks for helping stay sober today Jennifer
Jennifer, that's wonderful. It'll get better and better every day. You are taking the steps you need to take for yourself, and that is so good. Keep up the tea, and remember this is just the beginning of a wonderful journey! be blessed, Chris
Used to be that, whenever I went out to any nice place to eat, I seemed to think about what I was going to drink (in terms of cocktails, wine and beer) more than what I was going to eat. I actually used to worry that it would not be a "fine dining experience" if there wasn't a good variety of alcoholic beverages to wash it down with. Kinda funny thinking about that now, I wonder if I wouldn't have eaten swill, as long as I had a nice wine to go with it.
My drink of choice at a restaurant these days is a nice tall glass (or two) of iced tea. And it may sound crazy, but I actually find myself looking forward to that as much.
Keep developing that taste for tea Jennifer, it's one of nature's wonder drugs!
Me too that. I used to hate going to places that didn't serve alcohol- it really put a cramp in my style. Nowadays I try to frequent places that don't serve alcohol or at least that don't have a bar and a drinking crowd. At Thai places I get the Thai Iced teas. And at this one vietnamese place I get these mocha drinks with tapioca pearls in it. And Sushi bars- I can drink two pots of tea at a sushi bar, no problem. And they can't bring me the sodas quick enough anywhere- I could literally drink a pitcher of soda no problem in the time it takes them to bring me another glass. So as you can see although I don't drink anymore I'm still very beverage oriented.
