Happy Sober Day fellow Sober~vibers x A request if I may.. Does anyone have any objection to my posting regularly with the Hazelden 24 Hours a Day lit? It can be quite strong in its views naming God as a Higher Power. I don't have a strong sense of God in a biblical way but I can appreciate it in a metaphorical, nature sense. Would anyone mind if I posted it for the message with the thought of take what you like & leave the rest? I find it really supportive of fellowship & the AA way of life. I also enjoyed the routine & the occasional feedback it inspired. It helped me to feel I was providing something besides E,S&H. Call me on it if you think these selfish reasons! But, if no one minds & you don't have to read.. Please let me know :) Yours in recovery, Danielle x

I can only speak for myself in that I appreciate any daily readings posted here. I don't have that particular book, but we do read out of it at our small local AA meeting here.

Im not familiar with the book but have no objection to looking it over. Great idea! Have a good one, Lani

Do It! Technically this is not an AA group, it's a discussion board about recovery, similar to a Club. A little later this year, when I stop traveling, I'm going to post a week or two of ACOA 24 Hour book dailys, which I think are the best of the breed, but it's all good.
Go for it! :) Anything that can be inspirational and help with sobriety, I'm all for. All I ask is that we each respect the house that we're in. This particular forum is about alcoholism. This may not be an actual AA meeting, but we do our best to adhere to the AA 12 Traditions. This Message Board is often the first sign of life a newcomer will view.
The AA Preamble
Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism.
The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking.
There are no dues or fees for AA membership; we are self-supporting through our own contributions. AA is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization, or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy, neither endorses nor opposes any other causes.
Our primary purpose is to stay sober and helpother alcoholics to achieve sobriety.
MIP also has an ACOA message board, please post those in their respective place.
Thank you for asking, first, SS.

Thankyou, each & everyone x I really need this stability right now so you don't know how much you've helped in allowing me this space. Thanks for your help in keeping me sober! Danielle x
Ps. Just posted & felt really good. I hope it continues to ground me 1Day@aTime. Funny that the first questions were to do with commitment to A.A. even when it might be hard or dragging. Sometimes it is difficult for me esp when I'm mentally bingeing & not sharing how I'm recovering but going on in my own self-centredness. Thank God for principles before personalities & everyone's tolerance. Thanks for yours & your kindnesses too. Have a happy, sober day x
