Here are some of my favorite prayers:

Help. Please. Don't.
Show me. Guide me. Change me.
Are you there?
Why'd you do that?
Oh.
Thank you.

Today, I will tell God what I want to tell God, and listen for God's answer. I will remember that I can trust God.

From The Language of Letting Go

I hope this isn't offensive to others, but it's really helped me: one of my favorite prayers for years was "thy will be done - what ever the hell that means". smile.gif

Prayer

Prayer is a conversation with my creator, my Father, my DADDY, my ABBA DADDY. He is the one I can crawl up into his lap and tell all my joy and my trouble to. He is the one that understands all my failures, weeknessess, fears, and pain.

So when I pray I sit quietly stop and pause, take a deep breath. Start to Thank the Lord, Thanks Daddy, Thank you for this message board, for all the people that take time to share there experience, strength and hope.
Lord you are our Father and you taught your disciples the Lord's Prayer in the garden. Please Lord help me to remember the meaning of that simple prayer and the impact it holds for us all.
Lord, watch over every alcoholic, addict, abuse survivor, and child and keep them safe, breaking the bondage of this disease Lord. Give them the Strength to go through withdrawls and face the life you have chosen for each one. Thank you, Praise you, Jehovah Rophe, Jehovah Nissi, Jehovah Jireh.

In Jesus Name Amen
Pam P or Blessed
