Well, my insanity is taking me to Hayfork, California  lol  Actually I've had quite a few people tell me it's not insane, that it'll be great to have this kind of experience, and I think so too, I'm really excited  :)

I've talked to my friend out there, I asked him if he was actually serious, about renting to me, he said he gave it some thought before mentioning it, that he thought it'd be fine, that he could tell I'm a hard worker, and he wanted someone sober living there and wasn't too worried about that with me...  really surprised me  lol

I have told my parents at least, my dad didn't say much about it, just said to see him before I leave town and to be careful...  my mom worried a bit more about it, with me driving alone, but she won't say too much about it either...  my stepmom's family thinks I'm totally insane...  and hardly said a word to me at my dad's party yesterday after finding out what I'm doing...

So, my friend is going to take pics of the cottage and send them to me...  said if I still want it, I could send a deposit of first month's rent if I want, because he's had others interested but didn't have the money...  he said he'll hold the deposit till Oct 1st, which I should be there by then.  He said there are so many places for rent there, same price range, so even if I changed my mind on his cottage or it didn't work out, I'd find something...  but he knew it would be perfect for me with the chicken coops and land... 

I've emailed the vet's office there, looking for work, and applied at another job there...  the county's website has a list of businesses there with their phone numbers, so I will start calling around looking for work. 

I've actually already met another person in AA there (besides my friend), I did a search for Hayfork on myspace, one person came up, and she happens to be sober for 10 months now, she's not much older than me, I sent her a message, and she said we'll meet up when I get there  :)  So that was pretty cool...

I'm fighting with my exhusband about the divorce...  the money he agreed to pay me to cover debt he left me in, it's not much, only $900, that I could really use...  The debt is taken care of now, and I could use the money for the trip...  and he's fighting with me about it when he's had all year to save it up if he had to.  I don't understand how when my income is less than half of what he makes and I've been managing to pay bills and get my finances straight and pay rent and all that, that he hasn't been able to save even $100/month to give me even almost the full amount now.  So I will be going to court Wednesday, although I don't have to be there.  I'll see what the judge says about it, because being less than $1000 I can't see the judge decreeing payments.  I even told my ex I'd settle for half the amount before I leave town and he could send another payment within the next couple of months.  He wouldn't even agree to that.  *sigh*  Oh well, it'll work out one way or another... 

Anyway, I'm rambling as usual...  gonna run around and see some friends tomorrow since I'm planning to be gone by the end of the week...  gotta make the rounds...  living so far away I doubt I'll come visit except at Christmas, and it's not likely I'll be here this Christmas...  we'll see...
