I'm on the road... in Kansas City...

Hey everyone...

Well, crap hit the fan tonight with bf (or ex bf I should say...)  I actually left...  I'd already finally made the decision that I'd head south to stay with family, till I find farm work somewhere...  called my dad and talked to him about it earlier today, well then the crap with bf, I had to leave, as soon as I could.  I left while he was in town, cuz I couldn't deal with his lines of BS anymore, and knew he'd start in on trying to talk me into staying...  I packed up everything I could, I did have to leave a little bit of stuff behind...   I couldn't bring my kitten, I can't have cats at my dad's house...  but...  My dog is with me, and doing ok mostly, but she's confused, poor thing...

I left without getting directions even  lol  I knew how to get to Nebraska City at least, and knew we'd come through there when I moved there, so headed that way and called a friend that lives in Iowa to see if I'd be coming anywhere near him on my way home...  which I wasn't.  But he got out a map, told me how to get to Kansas City at least...  I need to look up directions while I've got internet here to get the rest of the way home.

After only about 3 1/2 hours of driving, my back is killing me.  I might split up the rest of the trip over a couple more days...  I have maybe 8 or 9 hours of driving left to go...

Not sure what I'm doing when I get there...  there is a school not far from my dad that has a good Ag program...  I might just stay with him and get through school...  but...  if my HP puts a good farm job in front of me, and it's close enough to a good Ag school, I might jump at the chance...  we'll see...

Anyway, I'm ok, I'm safe, my car hasn't broken down (yet lol)...  and should be in MS in the next couple of days...  also got in touch with my sponsor from Memphis, she wants me to call her as soon as I get there...  it'll be so good to see everyone  :)  As much as I hate to leave Nebraska, at the same time I'm so excited to see everyone down in Memphis again...  I hate Memphis, but...  I'll make the best of being there, and will have good friends and family and support at least.

Please take good care of yourself, won't you? And, don't forget to let us know how things are working out for you.

Take care,

Lisa,
We will be right here for you. As Carol said, "Take good care of you". Prayers for
a safe trip. Do be careful going through Kansas and Missouri (not sure about Arkansas if
you take a more southerly route. Fronts have caused flooding in some parts. In the past
week a front that stalled out caused some roads to close. So do check out "conditions"
as well. If you come as far as St. Louis MO there is road construction in and around the
city there. Some stretches are closed completely and there a detours. These are major
thoroughways. If I remember correctly 270 is the bypass around the city and one can
catch I-55 south off of it. If you have access to laptop/computer ....... tap into that city's
site where there are details. There has been some flooding along the Mississippi. So do
check to see where it is safest to go acrossed.
Prayers,
Wanda
