18 Months Sober Today
Permalink

Hi everyone,

Well, today I have been sober for eighteen months! It seems amazing to me that I have managed this when I look back at my drinking days. And, how my life has changed. I just never thought it would be possible. I am so truly lucky to have found the rooms of AA.

My sobriety really is all down to AA and to this wonderful board. So, thank you for being here for me and for helping to keep me sober.

Have a great day,

Carol

Wow Carol... 18 months huh? It is amazing, for me at least, how long those first few months were and then the months seem to go by quicker and easier. I cannot believe that I will have six months on Wed. Congrats on 18 months!!!!!

I join with the others to help celebrate this milestone of yours. Yes, it is quite amazing
how much sobriety can enhance one's whole being.
And the best part of all is the gratitude I have for you for your constant support and
wisdom through your posts. For if you had never ventured and took the plunge into sobriety
you would not be here sharing the riches you have found. Thank you.
May the path you are on be guided and guarded from pitfalls and may others take note
of how you have climbed. Continued success. Wanda

Congrats, reached the same point a few weeks back. What's been the main practical benefits you've noticed?
