I had an appointment with my GP earlier today to get the results of some heart tests that I have had recently. I was worried and anxious about it. But, it's good news from the GP and I wanted to share that with my cyber-family. The problem that I have is an excessive heartbeat. It's beating about twenty beats per minute faster than it should be. So, that is making me feel pretty tired.
My GP has popped me on a low dose of beta-blockers for one month to see how I get on with them. He can always up the dosage if I need it. So, it is such a relief for me.
Throughout it all, I haven't seriously thought of taking a drink. And, with the love and support from everyone I know in AA it has been a much easier time than I thought it would be.
Just had to share the good news with you all.
Take care,
Carol

Carol, I wish I could be there to give you a hug! It is nice to know that this wasn't serious. Will keep you in prayers that the meds help. Blessings to you, Wanda
It's great when a possible worry turns into something relatively simple to fix. Good for you Carol..and good that the thought of a drink didn't enter your mind as an escape during the wondering period...Tim
