Canada Day, eh? Super! Hope all my Canuk friends have a great weekend.!
I am getting a few "Chrysanthamum" rockets to set off in the back yard when we celebrate 4th of July down on this side of the border (or, "Down in the States" as my friends in Manitoba say).
Another happy Canada Day wish to all of you Canadians! What do people do on Canada Day? Is it like the Fourth in the US? I have never heard of it before. I gots to no...Tim

Canada Day is a celebration of our heritage.from coast to coast..each year on July First..
The provincial parks and campgrounds are packed...the beaches are overflowing with partially nude bodies...
Sunday evening....there are usually events in every small town, and large city...bands playing...fireworks...
For practicing alkys...it is a time for a 3 day drunk...
Some will guard our borders to make sure aliens dont get across to drink our 5 to 10 percent beer...
For social drinkers....it can be a time, to cross the line into Alkyholism...or wind up in jail, on Tuesday morning...asking themselves..."What the hell happenned? Did I have a good time?"
And for those of us that dont drink...? It can be a nice time, to get out of Dodge, for a day and a half..sit under a tree in the middle of nowhere...up on a hill...under the stars...and watch fireworks from 20 miles away..eat homemade popcorn...and dribble rootbeer down our chins...and just watch the world go by...awww yes.....life is good...
Have a nice day eh...

Happy Canada Day weekend to you too! I have never heard of it before... I have ALOT of family in Canada that I have never met... I have never even been there but would love to go! Sounds like this is a nice time of year... maybe I will go celebrate and see lots of fireworks there next year and then come back home and see somemore for 4th of July! Plan on still being here next year so you will have to remind me Phil! Have a great weekend everyone! One day at a time....

Why Phil......you celebrate your holiday as I celebrate July 4th. May have to climb up on the roof (my hill) with all the corn surrounding my home to see those fireworks. From where I am can see at least 8 town displays......pretty neat! Here today festivities have already gotten underway.....alot of our state workers took vac. Mon and Tues. so they could have 5 days to do their yippin and yappin for their "Independence". LOL (the local paper's "police beat" is always interesting following these days...... Duh....wonder why?) While your up on that hill say a little prayer that everyone in both countries will have a safe (and perhaps sober) time. Have a really good one? Wanda Pssst. Pass me a hot and Mt. Dew please.
