For some reason I'm finding myself highly, um...ahem...aroused since I quit drinking. I dont know what to make of it? I dont know if it's normal or what but I'm like a walking sun dial.

It's sort of distracting blankstare

Anyone else experience this when they stopped drinking?

Phil?

Just taking a minute to check in....and

Holy Shit Tip!!   Praise the Lord!!  (smiling)

Ok...seriously? Alcohol is a depressent..(physically also)....and I could not always count on carrying flagpoles when I needed to...under the influence of alkyhol

When everything starts getting better physically...one day at a time...that situation does also....

unless...youre over 50....in which case....sometimes, one needs the help of a druggist..

Yu might hafta walk backwards....till everything evens out...When you let a horse out of the barn...thats been confined for a while...all it wants to do is run...this too shall pass..:)

Have a good day y'all ehhhh!!

yep, what Phil said.   Your body is on the good end of detoxing and recovering from being slightly poisoned all the time.  We are awake, alert, and ready!  Kind of like being teenagers again?  but this time  we learn to handle things in better ways.  oh.. and this is one of the reasons we are counseled NOT to get into a new relationship for a year.  If you are already in a relationship,, then  hurray for you and your partner.  If you are not,, then,,,  being so horny tempts us to get a partner quick,,  but it is like adolescence in that we need to learn how to be in a whole relationship first,  or we might make a big mess.

love in recovery,

amanda

Woohoo.. Good on ya Tips lol I did too though it works in cycles with my monthlies now. I have to heed the advice on the year too as I can see how distracting it can be. Lustful thoughts get me off my program too funnily enough & I have to bring it back to centre. We gain the strength from the temptation we resist, hey! Hope so. Won't speak about how it got me into trouble in the past but I'm guessing we all know & have been there one way or another.. Thanks for sharing anyway ;) lol Good luck with your sobriety, Danielle x

in this part of the world we refer to this as the "walking hormone" stage. i enjoyed your description, never heard it put quite like that before. very amusing!

maybe you could just hang a white flag, tissue, coat or whatever is a proper fit or even a sign that says "surrender" on it. Don't we have to surrender to win?????????????????
