Well since people are checking in I may as well follow their lead! I haven't been posting much at all.... life is a bit hectic! I decided to go back to school so I have been really busy with that and working all the time. When I am home I have been spending most of my time studying. I have never been so focused on school before... it actually feels good! ... a bit stressful but good! Some guys have wanted to go out but I am honest with them and tell them that right now is not a good time... not only because of my busy schedule but also the 1-year suggestion. If you all followed that and stuck it out for a year then I am simply amazed haha... not sure how much more will power I have.... turning down guys and booze... geez!!! We will see how that goes!! I now have 119 days of no booze!!!  Never thought that day would've come! I am still improving with everything and am trying to stay focused on what is important... just trying to stay strong!! Hope everyone else is doing well and enjoying the summer!

Well good to see you're doing so well Jamie! Isn't it amazing how your attitude can change towards shool when you get your mind focused? I have taken 90-some-odd college units and have only gooten two "B"s...the rest are "A"s. And the thing is, it's not shooting for the "A"s that becomes important (though it does if you're seeking scholarships), but how the focus on learning becomes the absolute joy. What a difference sobriety makes! Keep up the great work my friend...Tim

Hi Jamie,

119 sober days is an amazing achievement. Well done. I'm sure that you must be feeling really proud of yourself right now.

It always amazes me just how much we can achieve when we stop drinking and how good our lives feel. Well done on all that you are doing.

Please keep posting and letting us know how things are going for you, won't you?

Take care,

Carol

Well done, Jamie. So nice to see you back around. Life does get rather busy to be posting all the while even though we're probably all doing our best to follow the threads!  Definitely right about boys =S Best to stay away while we're changing! Thanks for getting back to us. Stay in touch & Good luck with School! Danielle x
